New Park Coming to Roosevelt Plaza

Grand Rapids just broke ground on a brand-new park in the Roosevelt neighborhood on Cesar E. Chavez Avenue. The $2.3 million project will bring the area inclusive playgrounds, community gathering spaces, public art, and sustainable landscaping. The city aims for the park to reflect local culture and history, with plans to open in spring or summer of 2026. | Look into more details about the park

Free Outdoor Fitness Returns to Town

Grand Rapids' free outdoor fitness series is back for its 10th summer. From May 12 through Aug. 22, locals can enjoy 16 different fitness classes—including yoga, Zumba, line dancing, and hip-hop yoga at parks and public spaces across the city.
