Leisure: John Ball Zooβs record-breaking year
As John Ball Zoo (JBZ) winds down for the season, the zoo has marked 2024 as its most successful year to date. The zoo tallied more thanΒ 800,000 visitorsΒ this year, shattering all previous records. JBZ officially closes its doors for the winter on November 24th. Itβll reopen for its next season on March 21st, 2025.
Festive: The mall goes festive
Woodland Mall has brought back its seasonal decorations and family favorite, free pictures with Santa. While the mall recommends making reservations, you can meet and take photos with Santa anytime Monday through Sunday. Click here for more details.

Kindness Of The Week

A handful of wonderful people are shearing up to spread confidence to the homeless community in Grand Rapids.
On Wednesday, from 12 PM to 4 PM, a group of licensed barbers and stylists are offering a wide range of free professional services at Heartside Park.
Anyone thatβs in need can show up for free a hair wash, trim, styling, maintenance, or nail trim.
