The East Beltline bridge is getting remodeled
MDOT is receiving $25M from the federal government to replace the East Beltline bridge. Why? The bridge is in βpoorβ condition according to MDOT. This fed-backed project is expected to start in 2027 and will result in a completely new bridge that features an ADA-compliant walkway and bicycle lanes. | Read about the project here

GR land bank gets 107 pieces of land
Grand Rapidsβ new land bank is getting 107 state-owned pieces of land located around the city. The previously state-owned parcels are sitting vacant around town. However, once ownership is transferred, the land can be sold off to locals or redeveloped into more affordable housing at the land bank authorityβs discretion. | Read what Major LaGrand has to say about the land
