Planning for 2050

Do you know what your life will look like in 25 years? Kent County does. County officials are planning a new long-term vision called the Headwater Plan. The plan focuses on 4 key parts of the future of residents — quality of life, workforce development, environment, and resilience. The goal of the initiative is to address issues with affordable housing, education, childcare, downtown development, and transportation. | Learn how you can weigh in on the plan here

Health and Wellness

Mobile Health Van Comes To GR

A new mobile health van from Catherine’s Health Center will begin providing medical services to the homeless in Grand Rapids this summer. The van will travel throughout the city, offering primary care, mental health support, screenings, and substance use treatment to those in need. Michigan Ranked a Top Fishing Destination

A Fishing poll ranked Michigan as the 4th best state for fishing thanks to its access to four of the Great Lakes, 11,000 lakes, and 3,000 rivers. | Read more here

A 24/7 art studio called The Clayground is opening soon at 750 Fulton St. — the studio will offer classes, workshops, and memberships with 24-hour access for members. While there’s not set grand opening yet, the tentative opening is April 1st.
