Sidewalk Snow Enforcement Is Back
Grand Rapids has reinstated its sidewalk snow and ice rules following a pause during the worst of the cold and heavy snowfall. Property owners are responsible for clearing sidewalks, and if it is not done, the city can clear it and bill the property owner. With warmer temps, watch for melt and refreeze, turning sidewalks into ice. | Read more
Creston Riverfront Site Headed to Public Sale
Last week, the city shared it wasnβt able to buy the former Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center (1863 Monroe Ave NW near Riverside Park) after talks with the government stalled. Potential development partners noted that the purchase price of $4.5M plus unknown cleanup costs is too risky, so the property is expected to be listed for public sale. | Read more

The upcoming season for Broadway Grand Rapids is here. The theatre announced 7 new and returning shows as a part of its 2026-27 season.
π GRAAM Archive Opens Soon
The Grand Rapids African American Museum and Archive is opening its doors at the new location soon. Given that admission costs are finalized, the museum is expected to open sometime later this week. The new location is @ 41 Sheldon Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503
