Museum Expansion Delayed To 2026

The Public Museum’s $50M expansion is running behind schedule, with carousel renovations and riverfront improvements now expected to finish in early 2026. The whole project includes a new outdoor classroom, accessible seating, and upgrades to the 1928 carousel to accommodate wheelchair users. Along with a new entry, cafe, and expanded exhibits space are planned through 2027 (whew) | Read more

Grandville Schools Funding

On November 5th, Grandville residents will get the chance to vote on two proposals to support local schools. One is a renewal of the district’s operating millage, and the other, a new sinking fund. The millage provides about 20% of the district’s budget, while the sinking fund would raise ~$3.4M each year for district repairs, technology, and buses. | Read more

🍔 Amway Makes Changes

The Amway Grand Plaza is getting with the times. To improve its restaurant’s positioning, the managing hospitality company has hired three new executives and updated its menu to combat rising costs.

🪧 St. Sign Commemorates Community Leader

The City of Grand Rapids has installed a commemorative street sign to honor the late Dr. MaLinda Sapp, a religious leader and community advocate. The sign is located at the corner of Madison Ave and Alger Ave.
