Good morning, Grand Rapids. Iā€™m LeQwane and this is Calder News ā€”kicking off the work week with a quick update on whatā€™s happening around town.

It was a calm weekend in GR so todayā€™s issue will be quick.

So letā€™s dive straight in.

Local Nonprofit Gives GR Moms A Break

A local nonprofit focused on postpartum support called MomsBloom, treated local moms to some well-deserved self-care over the weekend. In a private event, they hosted massages, acupuncture, yoga classes, and women-owned wellness vendors, plus complimentary childcare and cafĆ© treats. The best part? Donations from the event went to support MomsBloomā€™s ongoing mission to uplift new mothers. | You can read more about the nonprofit here

Giving Everyone A Chance on The Ice

West Michigan Special Hockey Association (WMSHA) wrapped up its season yesterday at Patterson Ice Center. The nonprofit hosts a friendly tournament pairing kids and adults with disabilities alongside Davenport University and Sparta High School hockey players. To highlight that hockey truly is for everyone Grand Rapids has tons of cool programs like this. And itā€™s always heartwarming whenever I come across them. | Interested in joining or volunteering? Check out WMSHA's website here.

Post Of The Week

Itā€™s not too often Iā€™ve got a post of the week ready to go on a Monday.

But I had to share this gem because what are you doing on a Sunday evening if itā€™s not comparing ā€œrippleā€ and ā€œwavyā€ potato chips from Meijer?!

And since weā€™re hereā€¦

Which would you prefer: Ripple of Wavy?

Despite how similar the two are - be honest...
