🍣 Popular Food Truck Gets Storefront
After years of operating at the Asian Pacific Festival and other food truck events, Adobo Boy is set to celebrate its brick-and-mortar grand opening. Located at 4492 Plainfield Ave NE the restaurant is opening on Saturday (4/18).

🎲 Kobold’s Kitchen Coming to Creston
A new restaurant and game lounge called Kobold’s Kitchen is coming to the Creston neighborhood very soon. The location is opening in the former Fat Boy restaurant across from the Dollar General.
🌭 New Gourmet Hot Dogs
We’re getting a new gourmet hot dog shop on the SE side of town. Set to open at 900 Hall St. SE, The Urban Dog is expected to open this summer.

Neighbors Save Parking Spots on Wealthy
Last year, the city of Grand Rapids announced a plan to remove many parking spaces in Eastown. Residents and businesses voiced their concerns, noting that without parking spaces, it would be harder for people to enjoy all Eastown has to offer. The city listened and changed its plans. Education
Superintendent Search Begins for GRPS
Dr. Leadriane Roby has been the Superintendent at Grand Rapids Public Schools since 2020, but her reign is coming to an end in June 2027. In order to fill this important role, GRPS will bring on a firm to find eligible candidates to replace her. Follow the journey here.

🎤 Meijer Gardens Summer Concerts Are Back
Meijer Gardens released its list of upcoming summer concerts recently. Their outdoor amphitheater will host 34 concerts over the course of the summer with artists like the recurrent O.A.R. to newcomers like Lucy Dacus and KALEO. Tickets go on sale for FMG members on Saturday and are released to the public April 24. Learn more here.
🍰 New Baking Collective Opening on Alpine
Construction has started at 2255 Alpine Ave NW for The Crumb Collective Bakery. This will be a cooperative space that small-batch bakers can use to create delicious confections and share them with the community.
🎨 Cocoon Art Space Is Moving
Cocoon Art Space has closed up its shop on Division, but the party is not over. It will reopen in a new location on May 1. Swing by their new spot on 1509 Lake Dr SE for all your art and artisans good needs.
🍦Love’s Ice Cream Opening More Locations
Who doesn’t love Love’s Ice Cream? Once only available at the Downtown Market, this summer, you’ll be able to get Love’s at its new year-round Ada location or when enjoying an event at Acrisure Amphitheater.
