Apartment Project Breaks Ground

The third phase of the HoM Flats on 28th St. is starting later this month, adding 200 new units to the $78M complex. The completed project will have affordable housing, retail space, and an on-site childcare center, with completion expected by summer 2027. The development is a part of Wyomingโ€™s larger plan to revitalize the 28th Street with more housing, businesses, and walkability. | Read more

Downtown To Get 100 New Trees

Downtown will get 100 new trees planted this fall as part of a $111K project approved by the Downtown Development Authority. Led by Friends of Grand Rapids Parks (howdy if youโ€™re reading today ๐Ÿ‘‹), will replace dead trees and add new ones along sidewalks and streets. Planting will finish next spring, with the group maintaining the trees for two years. | Read more

Pinknโ€™ Patch: Supporting Cancer Patients

Itโ€™s Breast Cancer Awareness month.

And this new, unique Grand Rapids pumpkin patch is showing up, but they need your help.

Pinknโ€™ Patch, a nonprofit supporting families affected by breast cancer, is selling up to 3,000 hand-painted pumpkins to fund services like rides, meal delivery, and laundry help.
