Corewell Builds New Physician Housing

Corewell Health has begun construction on a 118-unit housing complex (located at 648 Ottawa Ave) to attract and retain medical residents and doctors to Grand Rapids. Kent County Plans Move From Downtown

Kent County is preparing to relocate its administrative offices from downtown to its main campus on Fuller Avenue. The move would place public services like the clerk, treasurer, and health department in one location with easier access and free parking. Pumpkin Prowl Returns

Ada’s biggest Halloween bash is back.

The Pumpkin Prowl takes over River Street starting Friday, Oct. 24, from 5 PM to 8 PM with trick-or-treating with about 15+ stores, music, live performances, a costume contest, food, and family-friendly activities throughout the village.

River Street will be closed to traffic for the event, with activities being focused at Legacy Park, the Dixon Lot, and nearby stores.

🎃 Downtown Market Gets Spooky

This weekend, the Downtown Market is hosting its second annual Oddities Market - an outdoor art market. The event will feature 45 vendors and family-friendly activities.

🐉 Tattoo Festival

The GR Tattoo Festival is bringing 400 tattoo artists and vendors to the DeVos Place starting this Friday. The event is open to all ages and will have a Halloween costume contest with a $1,000 grand prize.

⛽ Come and Gone

All of the Kum and Go gas stations in Grand Rapids have been sold to a chain called “Casey’s”. The chain from Iowa has 3,000 locations across 19 other states.
