The Animal Shelter temporarily relocates
The Kent County Animal Shelter (KCAS) has temporarily moved to 2055 Oak Industrial Drive NE for a 12-week renovation. While the main facility is closed, all operations will occur at the temporary location with limited capacity. To help reduce the number of animals in care, KCAS is focusing on adoptions — making now the perfect time to adopt a pooch. During the renovation, dog adoptions are just $50, including a license. | Read more

Got old VHS tapes or films you want to preserve? GRTV now offers a service to help you digitize your cherished memories. This service started as an internal thing at the Grand Rapids Community Media Center (GRCMC), but it’s now open to the public. | Learn more here

🏐 Grand Rapids Rise starts their season
The Grand Rapids Rise is kicking off this year’s Pro Volleyball season this weekend. The team debuted last year and is the city’s first major league women’s sports team.

The next winter surge is on the way. Starting today, GR is expected to get hit with 3-6” of snow over the next 24 hours. Make sure to drive safely — you know how Grand Rapids drivers are!
