Good morning, Grand Rapids. I’m LeQwane and this is Calder News — a new month’s here, the world’s still turning, and there’s plenty of good happening right here at home.

Plus, we all scored an extra hour of sleep this weekend.

So let’s put that little energy boost to good use and dive into what’s happening around town.

Restaurant of The Week

Shelley’s Kitchen @ 1140 Burton St SW

Restaurant of the week is back.

And today, we’ve got a small dinner that’s one of Wyoming’s little secrets.

Located just 8 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, this gem at 1140 Burton St SW dishes up comfort breakfasts and brunches with a cool small-town diner feel.

Whenever I’ve gone, I usually get the “Shelley’s Omelette” with a side of pancakes, but I’m a basic.

They’ve got an average of 4.7 stars with 1,000+ reviews. So if you venture off script and try something else on the menu, there’s a good chance you’ll like it.

If you love local spots, I’d recommend checking them out sometime soon.
